INTRODUCTION

The First Step for FS2002 takes it's position as the First Product in a series of AeroSim Real Add-on Series for Microsoft FS2002. It has been developed to work in Microsoft FS2002 and it features a Airline Pilot Training which takes place at the Shimojishima Airport.

The Shimojishima, RORS, is the only airport available in Japan for exclusive use of Airline Pilots for their training flight. Airlines Pilot Training, including Emergency Training, offered by this add-on uses two different type of Boeing 767, both in Boeing House Color. One is type -300 (with P&W engines) and another type is -300 Extended Range (with GE engines). The aircraft are replicated meticulously in detail with the reflective metallic textures, which is the new feature brought in to the Flight Sim World by FS2002 of Microsoft.

The scenery of the Shimojishima Airport features a very tropical feel, along with the objects, such as the various type of Antenna, Approach Lighting System and Runway Distance Marker. The radar scope, controller table and the like were depicted inside the control tower. The reefs around the island are colored in blue peculiar to the sea of Okinawa.

Totally, 21 adventure programs are offered by this add-on soft for you to improve your skill as the pilot of Airliner B767. Of these adventures, 19 adventures are to be flown at Shimojishima Airport, and the rest of adventures are provided additionally for you to get a chance to fly at the snow covered airport, Memanbetsu Airport which is located at the northern tip of Hokkaido.

Some of the adventures included shall run automatically, enabling player just to observe and learn how the training flight be performed under the supervision of checker pilot.

The training adventure No.21 are provided for the sim-pilot who are ranked at intermediate level or higher. The contents of the training adventure No.21 are the same as that of what is actually performed by a real-life pilot of Airline Training Center at the Shimojishima Airport. At the end of this training flight, the pilot performance are rated and scored.
